Edward E. Barnett, 74, of Linton, IN, passed away Friday, November 4, 2011, at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. He was born on October 12, 1937, in Linton, IN, to Rupert M. and Hazel (Hash) Barnett. Edward married Nancy E. Fuller in May 1974.

Edward was a self-employed Truck Driver. He was also a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #1434.

Survivors include his two sons: Jessie (Sylvia) Simmons of Gary, IN, Douglas Simmons of Merrillville, IN; two daughters: Connie Barnard of South Bend, IN and Selina (Ken) Adamo of Orland Park, IL. He was also survived by one brother: Glen (Sue) Barnett of Indianapolis; two sisters: Barbara Frederick of Linton and Imogene (Gene) Jones of Paragon, IN.

Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy Barnett (January 6, 2000); and daughter, Latricia Jones.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Bethel Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday November 19, 2011. Friends may call from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.
