Elise A. Franklin, 61, of Linton, IN, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at St. Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis. Born in Linton, Indiana, on November 13, 1946, she was the daughter of Virgil E. and Virginia 'Jenny' R. (Clayton) McCammon. She married Donald R. Franklin on September 10, 1967 and they had two children.

She was a homemaker, she previously worked at the General Electric Plant in Linton for 28 years and later at Greene County General Hospital in Accounting. Elise was a member of Dugger Church of Christ.

Survivors include her mother Virginia 'Jenny' McCammon, one son, Jeffrey (Nichole) Franklin all of Linton; one daughter, Julie (Jeff) Smith of Dugger; four grandchildren, Jocelyn Turpin, Janzen Franklin, Jackie Smith and Jordyn Smith. Also surviving are one brother, Edward McCammon and two sisters, Elaine Boone and Maizie Walker, all of Linton.

Elise was preceded in death by her father and her husband, Don Franklin, on December 19, 2006.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, June 27, 2008 and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service on Saturday, June 28, 2008. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 AM on Saturday with Bro. Nick Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN.

The family has requested contributions be made to Dugger Church of Christ. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
