Elizabeth L. Hesser, 87, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton, Indiana. Born in Riceville, Iowa, on July 18, 1920, she was the daughter of George and Caroline Grace (Hess) Sauer. She married James Phillip Hesser on June 27, 1947 and they had four children. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Linton.

Survivors include her four children: Daughter, Sharon Lutack of Seymour,IN, sons, Clyde (Sherri) Hesser of Seymour, IN and Robert Hesser of San Diego, CA, and daughter, Sandy (Joe) Wilson of Linton, IN; one brother, Steve Sauer of Apple Valley, CA, and two sisters, Kathy Egeskog of Lake Side, CA, and Helen Bennett of Bonita, CA. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin daughters Sally and Susan, one great-grandson Danny and one brother Phillip Sauer.

Friends may call from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints located on Lonetree Road in Linton. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 PM on Saturday, March 22, 2008, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Joe Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, CA, at a later date.
