Evelyn E. Sexton, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at Community Hospital East in Indianapolis. She was born on January 6, 1924 in Greene County, Indiana to Kelsie and Hazel Buckner Tetrick. Evelyn was married to George Sexton.

Evelyn was a member of the Old Bethel United Methodist Church in Indianapolis. She retired from the Stoney Brook Middle School Cafeteria in 1999. Evelyn was a grandma to anyone and everyone and was loved by all. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include: one daughter, Marilyn (Phillip) Spangler of Gilbert, AZ; one grandson, Michael (Crissie) Russell of Indianapolis; two great-grandchildren, Faith Russell and Jordan Noonan and niece, Joy (Guy) Applebee of Quincy, IN.

Evelyn was preceded in death by: her parents and her husband, George Sexton (January 14, 1979).

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 16 at the Lebanon Cemetery in Midland, IN with Pastor Jim Cooper officiating.

The family has entrusted all arrangements to the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton.
