Floyd M. "Mike" Earle, 65 of Linton, IN, passed away at Union Hospital in Terre Haute on Monday, September 2, 2013. He was born in Linton on March 3, 1948 to Charles W. and Salome (Goodson) Earle. On October 4, 1989 he married Debra J. Barnard.
Mike was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of the Lyons Assembly of God Church and the UMWA. Mike retired in 1999 with 28 years service as a coal miner for Peabody Hawthorne Mine. His hobbies included motorcycle and golf cart riding and collecting Lionel model trains.
Survivors include: his wife, Debbi Earle; one son, Justin Barnard of Linton; one granddaughter, Melaina and three brothers, Bob (Barb) Earle of Linton, Morris (Barb) Earle of Lyons and Charles (Anna) Earle, Jr. of Linton and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; four brothers: Ray, Herbert, William and Larry Earle; two half-brothers: Oscar and Andrew Earle and two half-sisters: Alice Smith and Vera Hillenbrand.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Rev. Gerald DeVore officiating. Military rites will follow at the funeral home.
Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Thursday, September 5 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and from 11:00 AM until the hour of service on Friday.
The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Lyons Assembly of God Church.
