Floyd L. "Tuffy" Markle, 83, of Linton passed away Friday, May 25th, 2007 at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. Born August 15, 1923, in Greene County, Indiana, he was the son of Floyd C. and Katie Hazel (Green) Markle. He married Shirley A. Asdell on April 12, 1941.
"Tuffy" owned and operated Markle Service Station in Linton, retiring in 1984.

Survivors include two daughters - Sherry (Isaac) House of Linton, Indiana, and Connie Shonk of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; three sons - Stephen (Marsha) Markle of Bedford, Indiana, David (Judy) Markle of Noblesville, Indiana, and Bradley (Lori) Markle of Linton, Indiana. One sister - Rosalee Moore of Indianapolis, Indiana, also survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Shirley Markle.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, May 30, with Rev. Sam Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
