Frederick E. McClure, 78, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Thursday, July 8, 2010 at Glenburn Home. He was born in Perrysville, Indiana on January 6, 1932 to Frederick Wm. and Iola Belle (McLaughlin) McClure. On July 28, 1965 he married Jean Anne Hester.

Fred served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was employed at the Crane Naval Base and was a member of NARFE (National Assoc. Retired Federal Employees).

He is survived by two brothers, James E. McClure of Veedersburg, IN and Richard L. (Nancy) McClure of Eugene, IN.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean Anne McClure who passed away on May 31, 2008; one brother, Robert McClure and one sister, Lenora Lindquist.

The McClure family has chosen cremation and there will be no visitation or funeral services. Interment will follow at Osborn Prairie Cemetery in Veedersburg, IN at a later date.

The family has entrusted Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN with all arrangements.
