Gene L. West, 63, of Borden, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2006. Gene was born March 30, 1943 to Charles and Rachel (Hale) West. On November 20, 1964 he married Gretta Britton. He is retired from the US Army CW3. Gene is survived by his wife; Gretta (Britton) West, two sons; Gordon (Shelly) West of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and Greg West of Borden, Indiana, five grandchildren; Pamela, Zada, Cera, Ashlee, and Gene; one step grandson Mathew. He is also survived by two brothers; Gary West of Linton, Indiana and Craig West of Dugger, Indiana and his mother-in-law; Zada Britton of Linton, Indiana. Gene is preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law; Clarence Britton. The memorial service will be held at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, Indiana on Monday, November 20, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mike Roth officiating.
