Georgetta Lewis Baize, 75, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Linton. She was born on March 6, 1942 in Linton to Leon and Helen (Haberley) Duffroy. Georgetta married Estil Leon Baize on November 16, 1975.

Georgetta was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church. Her hobbies were bird watching, working puzzles, mushroom hunting and she loved her cats. Georgetta was a production worker at Keller Aluminum before retiring with 25 years of service.

Survivors include: three sons, John Dale Lewis of Vincennes, Jack Freddy Lewis and Joseph Vernon Lewis, both of Linton; one daughter, Terri McGurgan of Waco, TX; sixteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Leon Duffroy of Loogootee and two sisters, Helen L. May of Linton and Leona M. Lucas of Vicksburg.

Georgetta was preceded in death by her husband, Estil Leon Baize and one son, William 'Billy' Byron Lewis.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Pastor John Winders officiating. Georgetta will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 11 and from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
