Gerald D. 'Jerry' Worland, 78, of Switz City, Indiana, passed away with his wife by his side, on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at his home. He was born on June 4, 1946 in Vincennes, Indiana to Raymond Daniel and Mary Theresa (Halter) Worland. Jerry married his wife, Janet S. (Murry) Worland, on June 29, 1968.

Jerry was a US Army National Guard veteran. He spent his life working as a crop and hog farmer.

Family left to cherish the memory of Jerry includes: his wife, Janet S. Worland; sons, Raymond G. Worland of Lyons and Ronald J. Worland of Worthington; daughters, Theresa Marie McPhearson of Switz City and Jessica E. (Aaron) Sapp of Evansville; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Steven George (Ann) Worland of Freedom; sisters, Rose Marie (Marvin) Korman of Minnesota and Betty (George) Vash of Bicknell.

Jerry was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Jeanine McMillien; brothers, James Raymond Worland, Paul Edward Worland, Daniel Lewis Worland, Robert Joseph Worland, Earl Anthony Worland and Olan Lawrence Worland.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Sandborn First Christian Church with Bryan Sanders officiating.
