Harold L. Busby, 79, of Linton, Indiana, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Linton Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born on April 27, 1936 in Jewett, Ohio to Donald L. and Vivian M. (Rowland) Busby. Harold married the love of his life, Elsie Lorraine Britton on August 11, 1956.

Harold was a US Army Veteran, having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose and the American Legion Post #22. Harold worked for 27 years for Peabody Coal Co. as a welder, a supervisor and then a master mechanic before retiring in 1990.

Survivors include: son: Frank (Jean McBride) Busby; daughter, Teresa (Steve Harper) Busby, both of Linton; six grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren.

Harold was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, Lorraine Busby and one daughter, Debra L. (Busby) Fiscus.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 15, 2016 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with Rev. Dick Smith officiating. Harold will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton following military graveside rites by the Ft. Campbell Honor Guard and the American Legion Post #22.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, April 14 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
