Harriett A. Eskew, 98, of Panama City, Florida, passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012 at Emerald Shores Health and Rehab in Panama City, Florida. She was born on February 26, 1914 in Hymera, Indiana to Benjamin and Mattie (Bailey) Hulley. Harriett was married to Merle Hadley Eskew and they had two daughters.

Harriett was a homemaker.

Survivors include her daughter: Nickie Ann Taylor of Panama City, FL; five grandchildren: Jay Winter, Dodi Ward, Maxie Woodall, Shawn Smith and Theresa Slater. She was also survived by several great-grandchildren.

Harriett was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merle Eskew (1984); one daughter, Donna Lynn Eskew (2007); one granddaughter, Angela Gibson; and her brothers and sisters.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Linton Community Food Pantry, with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 21, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Dick Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Morris Chapel in Dugger, Indiana.
