Harry F. 'Jack' Fitzpatrick, 92, of Linton, IN, passed away Monday, July 20, 2009, at Glenburn Nursing Home in Linton. He was born on October 12, 1916, in Sandborn, IN, to Harry and Mae (Berry) Fitzpatrick. On December 24, 1938, he married Marietta Edwards.

Jack served in the US Army during. He was a coal miner, dragline, dozer and shovel operator with Peabody Coal Company, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Peoria, IL, American Legion Post #22 and the VFW Post #7118.

Survivors include his wife, Marietta Fitzpatrick of Linton, one son, David Bruce Fitzpatrick of Oro Valley, AZ and one brother, Warren 'Dutch' Fitzpatrick of Linton.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Maria Roark, Maralda Roark and Wilda Bennett and one brother, Billy Joe Fitzpatrick.

There will be no public viewing or visitation per the family's wishes. Graveside services will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, July 24, 2009 at Fairview Cemetery in Linton with Rev. Mike Roth officiating.
