Helen L. Bredeweg, 71, of Linton passed away Sunday, December 24, 2006 at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. Born in Greene County on May 31, 1935, Helen was the daughter of Gilbert C. and Maggie E. (Harbin) Rose. On October 23, 1954, she married William H. Bredeweg. Helen worked at RCA in Bloomington for 8 years, retired in 1971, and then returned to homemaking. She was a member of the South Linton Church of God.Helen is survived by three sons: William "Billy" D. (Linda) Bredeweg and Rodney C. (Rene') Bredeweg both of Linton, and Brian K. (Amanda) Bredeweg of Jasonville, six grandchildren: Rachel, Ryan, Lydia, Elizabeth and Westin Bredeweg and Oakly Pilant, and one sister: Rozella L. Rehmel of Coalmont. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister: Mary C. Dunning, and one brother: Gilbert R. Rose.
Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, December 27th and from 12 noon until the hour of service Thursday, December 28th. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 28th at 2:30 PM with Rev. Russell Black officiating. Burial will follow at the German Memory Hill Cemetery in Linton. The family has requested that memorial contributions be make to the South Linton Church of God in lieu of flowers; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
