Helen L. Hays, 75, of Linton, IN, passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. She was born in White Rose, Indiana to Ray and Lillie (Reed) Jerrells on August 10, 1934.

Helen was an office manager for a grocery retailer, retiring in 2000. She had many hobbies including sewing, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Surviving is her daughter, Teresa Hays of Linton and four grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, James (Norann) Jerrells and one sister, Joan Webb both of Linton.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Daniel Hays and one sister, Ines Sheperd.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 and from 9:00 AM until the hour of the service on Thursday. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 15, 2010 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Stafford Cemetery in Sandborn, IN.
