Helen V. Steele, 91, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven, with her loving family by her side on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at Glenburn Home in Linton. She was born on August 15, 1929 in Sandborn, Indiana to Earl and Vernie (Goode) Rowe. Helen married the love of her life, Robert O. 'Bob' Steele, on November 21, 1954.

Helen was a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church and Country Corner Home Ec. Club. She taught Sunday School for over 50 years and is still known to many as Miss Helen. Helen enjoyed her flowers and decorating her church for several special occasions. Most of all, Helen loved being a doting grandmother.

Family left to cherish the memory of Helen include: two sons, Bob (Jana) Steele of Sullivan and Tom (Corbi) Steele of Linton; seven grandchildren, Bryndon (Amy), Brad (Laura), Blake, Blair, Ben (Becky) Steele, Cassie (Michael) Ross and Dalton (Crystyn) Steele and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Bob Steele and one sister, Virginia Lynch.

Private family services will be held at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton. Helen will be laid to rest in Olive Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Linton.
