IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Hendrix Vaughn Roosevelt
Steele
March 13, 2016
Hendrix Vaughn Roosevelt Steele, of Bloomington, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 in Indianapolis. He was born on June 8, 1984 in Linton, to Stephen Allen and Lissa Gayle (Vaughn) Steele.
Hendrix spent more than a decade in Automotive Sales and Financing and according to everyone, he was a natural whiz in that environment.
Hendrix enjoyed so many things in life…his family and friends, helping others, his work, the latest technology, reading, music, movies, his pets and of course, cars! He had a quick wit and loved sharing funny stories and jokes with everyone. He also had a great sense of style and was quite a snappy dresser! He enjoyed traveling and once went all the way to Ireland to see one of his favorite bands, Snow Patrol, perform. He had an adventurous, exuberant spirit that showed in everything he did.
Family members surviving Hendrix are: His mother, Lissa (Vaughn) Steele of Bloomington, and his father, Stephen Steele, of Indianapolis; His sister, Malokia Blossom Steele-Cooper (SFC Kenneth Cooper, Jr.), of Franklin; his brothers: Joshua K. Steele and Elijah S. Steele, both of Bloomington, and Fiersen A. and Sephen T. Steele, both of Indianapolis; his paternal grandmother, R. Jean (Sexton) Rogers of Linton; his aunts: Janelle Phipps, of Sullivan, Terry (George) Morris, of Terre Haute, and Roberta J. (Carlton) Wilson, of Robinson, IL ; a nephew, Dodge H. Cooper, of Franklin; two nieces: Annabel K. Steele, of Brea, CA, and Fiona N. Steele, of Bryn Mawr, PA; as well as many beloved cousins and their children.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Dwayne and Vada Vaughn of Linton; his paternal grandfather, Charles "Bob" Steele, of Linton, as well as his paternal step-grandfathers, Don Hayes, of Terre Haute, and Charles Rogers, of Linton.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Pastor Bill Gott officiating. Hendrix will be laid to rest at Little Flock Cemetery in Shelburn.
