Irene S. Warner, 94, of Lyons, IN, formerly of Sandborn, IN, passed peacefully from this life on Sunday morning, April 26, 2015.  She was born in Knox County, IN, on June 16, 1920, to James E. and Maude Jane (Fitzpatrick) Casey.  On February 24, 1939, she married Floyd L. Warner.

Irene was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In her leisure time, she enjoyed oil painting and tracing genealogy and was a wonderful seamstress.  Irene was a member of the Sandborn Christian Church, OES Newberry Chapter #198, the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary Greene Co. Chapter #99 and was a Past President of the William Clenny Chapter of DAR.

Irene is survived by: one son, Michael (Sue) Warner of Terre Haute; one daughter, Diann (Mike) Williams of Sandborn; 5 grandchildren: Kellie Cazel, Lori Warner, Scott Williams, Kyle Williams, Joni Hayden; 9 great grandchildren; and one grt. grt. grandson.

Preceding Irene in death are: her parents, her husband, Floyd Warner (4/27/93), a brother, Donald Casey, and an infant sister, Lena Margaret.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 29, 2015, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, with Scott Williams officiating. Irene will be laid to rest in the Stafford Cemetery in Sandborn, IN.

Family and friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, April 29th with the OES Newberry Chapter #198 holding a Memorial Service at 7:00 PM.  Calling hours will resume on Thursday morning, April 30th from 10:00 AM until the hour of service at 11:00 AM.
