Iris Jean Markle, 66, of Linton, Indiana, passed away with her family by her side on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born on August 18, 1948 in Linton, Indiana to Paul L. and Bonnie Mae (Enochs) Franklin. Iris became the wife of John W. Markle on July 26, 1975.

Iris spent her life taking care of her home, husband and family. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Iris will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.

Survivors include: her husband, John Markle; son, Steve (Jamie) Markle; daughter, Sherry Markle; grandson, Ethan Richardson, all of Linton; brothers, Dale (Phyllis) Franklin of Linton and David (Joan) Franklin of Bloomfield.

Iris was preceded in death by her parents and a brother and sister-in-law, Donald & Elise Franklin.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with Rick Tribby officiating. Iris will be laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Wednesday.
