Iva Ethel Cullen, 81, of Linton, Indiana, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Born in Sullivan, Indiana, on February 10, 1930, she was the daughter of James "Lafe" and Dica Ellen (Auten) Thomas. On March 4, 1951, she married Ruffie P. Cullen, who preceded her in death.

Ethel was a homemaker and devoted mother. She was a faithful member of the Linton Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond E. Cullen and Ronald P. Cullen, both of Linton, four grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, three sisters: Beulah Underhill and Louise Hall, both of Linton, and Gloria Ray of Worthington. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ruffie P. Cullen, a son, Michael W. Cullen, two brothers and four sisters.

For those who wish to make a contribution in Ethel's memory, the family has named the Linton Assembly of God Church, with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, June 6, 2011, and from 9:00 AM Tuesday, June 7, until the hour of service.

The funeral service will be at the funeral home Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at 10:30 AM, with Rev. David Atkins officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Indiana.
