Iva L. Meng, 95, of Sullivan, went to Heaven peacefully on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 surrounded by her loved ones at her residence. She was born on December 11, 1918 in Sullivan County, Indiana to Freeman B. and Louie G. (Gibbs) Clark. Iva became the wife of Edgar Lee Meng on February 18, 1937 and they were happily married for 43 years.

Iva was a member of the Soul's Harbor Church in Shelburn. She was a homemaker and a wallpaper hanger. Iva loved to travel at a moment's notice and playing Skipbo with anyone and everyone. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include: two sons, Edgar 'Gene' (Josephine) Meng of Sullivan and William 'Bill' (Judy) Meng of Terre Haute; two daughters, Patricia Christison of Spencer and Carolyn Maxey of Sullivan; one brother, George (Gayle) Clark of Sullivan; sixteen grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Iva was preceded in death by: her husband, Edgar (June 5, 1980); one son, James Meng; three grandchildren, Lonnie Krause, Angel Dawn and Rochelle Renee' Maxey; two brothers, Wesley and Gene Clark; two sisters, Hazel Wolfe and twin sister, Ina Hancock.

Funeral services will be held at the Soul's Harbor Church, located at 7217 US Hwy. 41 North, Shelburn, Indiana, on Monday, May 5 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Darren Thrasher officiating. Interment will follow in the IOOF Cemetery in Carlisle.

Family and friends may call at the Soul's Harbor Church on Sunday, May 4 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 AM until the time of service.

The family has entrusted all arrangements to the Anderson-Poindexter Dugger Chapel.
