John P. 'Jack' O'Haver, 80, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute. He was born in Bicknell, Indiana on March 24, 1936 to Guy H. and Pearl Beatrice (Brown) O'Haver. He married his loving wife, Joan D. (Scherffius) O'Haver on September 22, 1956.

Jack was a member of the Pleasantville United Methodist Church, BPO Elks #866, a 50-year member and Past Master of the Masonic Lodge, and a current member of Linton Masonic Lodge #560 F&AM. Jack and Joan are the owner and operators of Linton Cycle Sales with 43 years in the business. Jack was an avid bowler, enjoyed fishing and especially loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include: his wife Joan O'Haver; daughter, Susan (Ed) Bennett of Wilfred; three grandchildren, Lindsay (Matt) Gamble, Chad (Sarah) Powers and Greg (Meghan) Powers; five great-grandchildren, Avery, Tate, Owsley, Huxley and Thea; step-children, Dane (Vera) Eichhorst, Scott (Barb) Eichhorst and Greg (Lori) Eichhorst; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald O'Haver of Linton and Jerry O'Haver of CA.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his son, John P (JP), Jr.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton. Jack will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Sunday, November 6 and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home. A Masonic Memorial Service is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasantville United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
