Obituary

Jack Pearce Osborn left this world on Tuesday, April 12 following a brief illness. Born in Linton, IN on January 13, 1926, Mr. Osborn attended Linton Schools graduating from Linton High School in 1944. He went into the US Navy soon after graduation and served on LSM 584 in the South Pacific and the Philippines. After being honorably discharged from the service, Mr. Osborn attended business school and after graduating, worked a few years as an accountant for the Foster Freight Line in Indianapolis. He spent most of his career working for the Veterans Administration in Indianapolis and in Austin, Texas. Mr. Osborn retired in the early 1980's and moved to San Antonio where he resided until he passed away. Mr. Osborn was a member of the Masonic Blue Lodge in Indianapolis and a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church in San Antonio. Mr. Osborn leaves a sister, Norma (Osborn) Colley,of Nacogdoches,TX a Brother Shirley who resides in Montville, Connecticut. He was adored by one niece, 7 nephews and many great nieces and nephews. Mr. Osborn's remains will be interred in the Linton Indiana Fairview Cemetery where there will be a graveside service Thursday, April 28th at 2PM.
