IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jackie 'Jack' Lee
Busenburg
February 15, 1939 – March 14, 2016
Jackie Lee 'Jack' Busenburg, 77, of Linton, Indiana, passed away, surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, March 14, 2016 in Indianapolis. Jack was born on February 15, 1939 in Roscoe Village, Ohio to Jack Edward and Lela Mae (Smalley) Busenburg. Jack married Joyce Word on March 14, 1997 and they have spent the last 30 years laughing and loving each other.
Jack graduated from Warsaw Local High School in Warsaw, Ohio with the class of 1957. He started his career in mining at Broken Arrow Coal Mine in Coschocton, Ohio in 1967 and then worked at MacCallister Machinery in Washington before retiring in 2007. He then worked various part-time jobs to fill his time and socialize with people, which he loved to do.
Jack enjoyed many things in his life…his family, car shows, being around friends, all sports, especially Ohio football and basketball. He especially loved all his friends from Greene County General Hospital, who constantly spoiled him, and he also loved the gang from Southside Gas Station, where he always enjoyed joining in on the many tales of the day. Jack will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family members surviving Jack are: his wife, Joyce Busenburg of Linton; one son, Michael (Debbie) Busenburg of French Lick, IN; two daughters, Michelle Decker of Terre Haute, IN and Michell (Paul) Martin of Mackey, IN; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Thea Katherine Grant of Warsaw, OH; two nephews; a great-niece and several great-nephews.
