James H. 'Jim' Easter, 60, of Linton, IN, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 10, 2013, doing what he loved, working for the Lord. He was born in Terre Haute, IN, on July 16, 1953, to Hilton and Mildred (Woodall) Easter. On July 1, 1972, Jim took Debra S. (Hollingsworth) to be his wife and they had two daughters.

Jim worked at RCA in Bloomington for 15 years and also opened an auto repair shop in 1972. He was the owner and operator of Jim's Auto Service for over 40 years. Jim was a member of the Linton Assembly of God Church, where he served as Sound Technician and Trustee and the Linton Civitan Club, where he served as Chaplain for over 20 years. He was an active member of the Linton community and will be sorely missed by family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie; two daughters: Christine (Shawn) Brown of Linton, and Cheryl (Steve) Handley of Springfield, MO; and two grandchildren: Dawson and Emma.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, at the Linton Assembly of God Church at 11:00 AM with Rev. David Atkins officiating. Interment will follow in the Linton Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, and at the Linton Assembly of God Church from 9:00 AM until the hour of service on Wednesday, August 14.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Linton Assembly of God Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home and the church.
