James E. Hensley, 70, of Tallahassee, Florida, formerly of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully, on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at Lake Butler, Florida. He was born in Linton on October 28, 1946 to Eugene 'Cotton' and Louise (Bland) Hensley.

James was a veteran of the US Marine Corps, serving in Vietnam. He was a born-again believer and enjoyed the time he had serving Christ. James worked as a truck driver in the wrecker business. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Survivors include: one daughter, Billie Jo Hensley of Linton; four grandchildren, Kyle Bedwell, Ashlyn Crusie, Alexis Crusie and Hunter Crusie; one great-grandson, Nickolai Bedwell; one brother, Arthur L. Hensley of Dugger; two sisters, Wilma R. (Phillip) Jerrell of Bloomington and Carolyn F. Critchfield of Linton.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Fairview Cemetery in Linton with Rev. Dick Smith officiating. James will be laid to rest following military graveside rites.

There will be no public visitation.
