SULLIVAN - James W. Meng, age 68, of Sullivan, IN, formerly of Linton, died on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at his residence. He was born on November 24, 1937 to Edgar and Iva (Clark) Meng.
James worked as a plumber for Williams Plumbing and Heating and the Plumbers & Steam Fitters Union Local #157 of Terre Haute, IN, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Souls Harbor Church of Jesus Christ in Shelburn and the Master Gardeners of both Greene and Sullivan counties.
He is survived by his Mother, Iva (Clark) Meng of Sullivan,IN; Former Wife and Friend, R. Yvonne (Williams) Meng; Son, James W., Jr. and wife Bette Meng of Linton; Daughter: Marcy L. and husband, Terry Stephens of Vincennes; and Daughter: Tamra S. Meng and partner, Cindy Robinson of Terre Haute, IN. Grandchildren: Jenna and husband, Nathan Brown, Bryant Meng, Brock and Kelsey Stephens. Great Granddaughter: Neely Brown. Two Brothers: Eugene "Gene" and wife Josephine Meng of Merom, and William "Bill" and wife Judy Meng of Terre Haute, and two Sisters: Carolyn Maxey of Sullivan and Patricia Christison of Spencer.
James was preceded in death by his Father, Edgar Meng.

Pastors Bruce Campbell and Darren Thrasher will officiate with burial to follow at the Carlisle IOOF Cemetery.
