James Stephen Myers, Sr., 62, of Linton, IN, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2009, at Bloomington Hospital. He was born in Milan, IN, August 13, 1946, to Gilbert F. and June E. (Warner) Myers. On January 16th, 1966, he married Alice J. Robertson. James had worked for Westinghouse in Bloomington, IN, and retired in 1979. He was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church and Sons of the VFW Bloomfield Post.

Survivors include two sons: James (Pamela) S. Myers, Jr. of Marco and Joseph (Janelle) F. Myers of Worthington; twelve grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and two sisters: Sally E. Smith of Springville and Debbie M. Vandevender of Solsberry. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Gilbert H. Myers, and one sister, Nancy J. Pierce.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, January 18th, 2009, and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service on Monday, January 19th, 2009. The funeral will begin at 1:00 PM on Monday, with Rev. Dallas Cappilinger and Rev. Robert Robertson officiating. Interment will follow in the Marco Cemetery.
