James O. Snow, 92, of Linton, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 06, 2016.  He was a lifelong resident of Linton born on August 17, 1923, to William and Mary Belle (Fulkerson) Snow.

Jim served in the U.S. Army from 1942-1965.  While stationed in Germany, he met and married Ursula (Lucy) Lack on January 21, 1953.  After retiring from the military, Jim worked a short time for GE in Linton and later for the Small Arms Division at NWSC Crane, IN.

Jim was a 70 year, faithful member of the Linton American Legion Post #22 and, also, a member of the VFW and the Moose Lodge.

Jim is survived by one daughter, Rose Scherzinger (William) of Odon; two sons, Jimmy Snow (Special Friend, Diana) of Linton, and Gary Snow (Linnie) of Ft. Wayne; 5 grandchildren: Kellie, Stacey, Jessica, Amanda and Nick; and 7 great grandchildren.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 5 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, February 9, 2016, at 11:00 AM at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, with Rev. Dick Smith officiating. Jim will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, with Military Graveside Rites provided by the Linton American Legion Post #22.

Family and friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, February 8th, and from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, February 9th.
