Jane Ann Koenig, 79, of Sandborn, Indiana, went to Heaven on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at Freelandville Community Home. She was born on February 23, 1946 in Linton, Indiana to Max and Tressa F. (Barks) Gaultney. Jane married the love of her life, Kenneth Russell Koenig on November 26, 1964.

Jane was a member of the Salem United Church of Christ. She was a homemaker and loved taking care of her home and family. Jane enjoyed gardening, her flowers, cooking and Indian artifacts.

Family left to cherish the memory of Jane include: two sons, Russ (Michelle) Koenig of Terre Haute and Kelly Koenig of Sandborn; one daughter, Tiffany Koenig of Vincennes; three grandchildren, Dakota Koenig of Washington, DC, Nicholas Koenig of Terre Haute and Misty Knight of Sandborn; one sister, Judy McFadden of Terre Haute; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Jane was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Kenneth Koenig; two brothers, Robert Gaultney and Philip Max Gaultney.

Funeral services to honor the life of Jane will be at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 4, 2025 at Salem United Church of Christ, 13135 N. Salem Road, Westphalia, Indiana with Bryan Taylor officiating. Jane will be laid to rest in Salem Cemetery.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Monday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salem United Church of Christ in Westphalia. Envelopes will be available at the church.
