Jeneva Sue Collins, 83, of Odon, IN, passed away on Mon., Apr. 6, 2015, at her residence. She was born on Nov. 26, 1931, in Daviess County, IN, to Russell Vernal & Achie Dee (Blagraves) Pershing.  On April 1, 1950, Jeneva became the wife of James H. Collins.

Jeneva lived her life as a homemaker, farmer, and caregiver.  She was a member of the Odon First United Methodist Church.  In her leisure time, she enjoyed horseback riding and truly loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include: a daughter, Vonda (Terry) Christenberry of Odon; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Collins of Odon; 4 grandchildren: Scott Collins, Joshua Christenberry, Adam Christenberry and Dustin Collins; 5 great grandchildren: Parker, Kenslee, Collin, Owen and Aaron; a sister, Eve Dee (Gene) Horning of Odon; a brother, Joe A. Pershing of Elnora; and several nieces and nephews.

Jeneva was preceded in death by: her parents, her husband, a son, Kenneth Collins, a brother, James E. Pershing, 3 sisters: Virginia Melton, Bonnie Stuffel, Tobita Pershing and an infant sibling.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Sat., Apr. 11, 2015, at the Odon First Christian Church with James N. Melton officiating. Jeneva will be laid to rest in the Walnut Hill Cemetery in Odon, IN.

Friends and family may call at the church on Sat., April 11, 2015, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, prior to the service.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made in memory of Jeneva to the IU Medical Center for Gerstmann Straussler-Scheinker Syndrome. Envelopes will be available at the church.
