Jessie Raney, 93, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven peacefully, on Thursday, April 20, 2017 in Linton. She was born on September 18, 1923 in Vicksburg, Indiana to Charles Chelton and Jessie May (Wilson) Denman. She married Orville Lloyd Raney on July 3, 1943.

Jessie was a member of the 12th Street Church of God. She was a devoted mother and enjoyed taking care of her home and family.

Survivors include: one son, Ronald L. (Raylene) Raney of Switz City; one daughter, Brenda J. (Bob) Raney of Solsberry; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Jessie was preceded in death by: her parents; two daughters, Janice and Delores; three brothers, Wayne, Warren and Charles Denman; two sisters, Alice A. Denman and Loretta C. Richardson.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Monday, April 24, 2017 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Rev. Vernon Thompson officiating. Jessie will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery in Ellettsville.

Family and friends may call from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, April 23 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
