Joan R. Phillips, 65, of Linton, IN, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at Bloomington Hospital. Joan was born on May 14, 1945, in Bloomington, IN, to Gilbert Earl and Elizabeth May (Godsey) Waldon.

Joan worked for RCA, Keller's and Sunbeam, she retired in 2005. Joan enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include her companion, Donald 'Preach' Weaver; two sons, Scott McGee and Donald Weaver, Jr., both of Linton; five daughters, Lisa Silvers, Lana (Bruce) Conder, both of Bloomington, IN; Lori (CJ) Davis of Ellettsville, IN; Ann (James) Mesaeh of Terre Haute, IN; Donna (Bryan) Wagner of Lafayette, IN; twenty-one Grandchildren; eight Great-Grandchildren; four brothers, Jerry Waldon, Gary Waldon, Larry Waldon, Mike Waldon, all of Bloomington, IN and four sisters, Joyce Pryor, of Bloomington, IN, Judy Chatten, of Ellettsville, IN, Jackie Rupp of Nokesville, VA and twin sister Jane Morrison of Westphalia, IN.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN on Monday, June 7, 2010, at 1:00 PM with Pastor Tommy Shields officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN.
