Vera Joan Webb, 73, of Linton, Indiana, passed away Friday, September 16, 2011, at her residence in Linton. She was born in Linton, Indiana, on September 29, 1937 to Ray E. and Lillie E. (Reed) Jerrells. Joan married Earl O. Webb on March 29, 1962.

Joan was a homemaker and a member of the Providence Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Anthony E. (Christina) Webb of Vincennes; one daughter, Tonya Jo (Scott) McDonald of Bloomfield; five grandchildren; one great-grandson and one brother, James (Norann) Jerrells of Linton.

Joan was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl Webb, 1992; and three sisters, Agnes, Ines and Helen.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday, September 19, 2011 and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel with Rev. Darren McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Linton, IN.
