Joetta J. Cotter, 96, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Friday, April 1, 2016 at Sullivan, Indiana. She was born in Linton, Indiana on February 20, 1920 to Elmer and Cornas (Hardisty) West. She became the wife of Adam B. Cotter on August 27, 1937.

Joetta was a member of the Linton First Christian Church and the Eastern Star, Linton Chapter. She managed JJ's Dress Shop, in Linton, for many years before she retired. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great and great-great-grandmother and will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Survivors include: two sons, Adam (Marsha) Cotter, Jr. of Crossville, TN and John L. (Donna) Cotter of Linton; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Joetta was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Adam B. Cotter and a sister, Betty Wimple.

There will be no public services or visitation.
