John R. Reichman, 81, of Linton, Indiana, passed away surrounded by his family, on Friday, December 8, 2017 at his residence at Autumn Trace. He was born in Noble, Illinois on March 5, 1936 to Roy W. and Mary F. (Gaddy) Reichman. John married Peggy J. (Chestnut) Reichman on February 15, 1958.

John was a member of the BPO Elks #866. He was a Prudential Life Insurance Agent for 40 years, retiring in 2006. John enjoyed hunting, fishing, antiquing and attending sporting events.

Survivors include: two daughters, Kimberly (Tom) Kirkwood of Bicknell and Lisa (Bart) Berns of Linton; one son, Jay R. (DeLayne) Reichman of TX; seven grandchildren, Jonathan (Dawn) Kirkwood, Christopher (Holly) Kirkwood, Emily (John) DeBello and Caroline (Derek Elston) Kirkwood, Audrey (Matt) Zaleski, Nick (Katie) Jones and Derek (Theresa) Johnson; eight great-grandchildren, Claire, Harrison, Vivian, Madalyn, Cal, Maren; Carter; Kylie; nieces, Leigh Anne Doan and Robin (Brad) Wilson-Christiansen.

John was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Peggy Reichman and sister, Kathy Wilson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with his grandsons, Jonathan and Christopher Kirkwood officiating. John will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Linton Community Food Pantry with envelopes available at the funeral home.
