Joy Sue Wayman (Terhune), 73, of Dugger, IN, passed from this life on Monday, June 27, 2016, at the IU Health Bloomington Hospice House with her children at her bedside. She was born on December 7, 1942, in Greene County, IN, to Clifford and Melba J. (Williams) Wayman.

Joy was a seamstress and spent many hours sewing.  She enjoyed gardening in her flower beds and spending time with her family and her cat, Oscar.

Survivors include: a son, Jan Wayman of Plainfield, IN; a daughter, Julia (Alan) Shipman of Dugger, IN; grandsons: Kyle Shipman of Dugger and Kristopher Shipman of Bloomington; a brother, Brent (Judy) Wayman of Dugger; and a sister, Peggy.

Joy was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 5, 2016, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Chaplain Wendy VanderZee officiating.  Joy will be laid to rest in the Dugger Cemetery privately.

Family and friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 5, prior to the service.

Contributions, in memory of Joy, may be made to the IU Health Hospice House in Bloomington, IN.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
