Juanita (Hughes) Provines, 91, formerly of Westphalia, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at Freelandville Community Home in Freelandville, Indiana. She was born on March 19, 1925 in Greene County, Indiana to Beldon Ceward and Elva Nancy (Tincher) Davis.

Juanita owned and operated several restaurants before she retired in 1990. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, traveling and loved all her dogs.

Juanita is survived by: two sons, Rodney (Connie) Hughes of Bicknell and Beldon Hughes of Edwardsport; six grandchildren, Aimee Lacey, Kimberly Hughes, Krista Hughes, Nicole (Mark) Burke, Casey (Korey) Lamb and Jill (Ryan) McClure; eleven great-grandchildren and one sister, Barbara Lee (Bryce) Anderson of Edwardsport.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands, Earl Hughes and Bob Provines.

A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Friday, March 10, 2017 at the Salem UCC Cemetery in Westphalia with Bryce Anderson officiating. There will be no public visitation.
