Judy A. Wence, 78, of Linton, IN, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at her residence with her family by her side. She was born in Linton, IN on December 20, 1934 to Paul Andrew and Iona (Haywood) Maxwell. She became the wife of Carl E. Wence on October 2, 1987.

Judy was a member of the Class of 1952 LHS, Do Nothing Club and Bunko. She worked for Indiana Bell and was a clerk at Red and White retiring in 1990.

Survivors include: her husband, Carl; three sons, Robb (Tracy) Alkire of Princeton, Bill (Gail) Alkire of New Harmony and David (Tiffany) Wence of Linton; nine grandchildren, Christy (Brant) Hull, Aaron (Jessica Phillips) Alkire, Lydia Hazelwood, Adam Wence, Sierra Hill, Noah Wence, Joshua Wence, Clover Hill, Hunter Alkire; three great-grandchildren, Konnar, Karter and Josie; sister-in-law, Maureen Maxwell; nephews, David (Karen) Maxwell, Steve (Pam) Maxwell and nieces, Karen (Dan) Hartsough and Jan (Val) Kentch.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Ken Maxwell and twin grandchildren, Matthew and Katie Wence.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Pastor Darren McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in the Dugger Cemetery in Dugger, Indiana.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4 PM until 8 PM on Friday and from 9 AM until the hour of service on Saturday.

The family has entrusted all funeral arrangements to Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, IN.
