Julia B. Shelton, 91, of Linton, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born on June 21, 1922 to Louis and Emma (Peltier) Pouchain. Julia married Cecil F. Shelton on February 14, 1946.

Julia was a member of the First Church of God in Linton, Charter Member of the Linton Ladies Civitan Club, Dist. Governor of Civitan, earning the Civitan Lifetime Achievement Award, Lifetime Member Greene Extension Homemakers Club, 2003 Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame, CASA, Generations Project and Back Home in Indiana Alliance. She retired in 1987 from Crane Naval Weapons Depot with 25 years of service.

She is survived by: one son, Bob (Merrilee) Shelton of Carrollton, TX; two daughters, Linda L. (Rance) Leaders of Battle Creek, MI and Carol B. (Jim) Gardner of Cincinnati, OH; eight grandchildren, Robert C. Shelton of Allen, TX, Barry (Amber) Shelton of Prosper, TX, Tara Shelton of Carrollton, TX, Ben (Kristen) Shelton of Pittsburgh, PA, Amber Leaders of Olympia, WA, Grant Leaders of Bellevue, WA, Dan Gardner of Miami, FL and Julie Gardner of Cincinnati, OH; four great-grandsons, Xander, Landon, Collin and Quinn Shelton and one sister, Henrietta (Bruce) Allen of Linton, IN.

Julia was preceded in death by; her parents, her husband, Cecil, one brother and three sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kenneth Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10 AM to 1 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
