Julie Ann Hixson, 64, of Linton, Indiana, passed away surrounded by her loved ones in her home on June 30, 2016. She was born on August 8, 1951 to William Hurt and Gladys (Tyler) Dyal. She married her husband, Leland D. Hixson on August 13, 2004.

Julie was employed as a clerk at Walmart for several years. She loved and enjoyed her family and working with her flowers.

Survivors include: her husband, Leland Hixson; three sons, Mike (Julia) Ketchem of Monroe City, Jason Ketchem of Winters, CA and Bryan (Julie) Ketchem of Linton; step-son, Joshua (Elisha) Hixson of Bloomington; step-daughter, Whitney Hixson of Bloomington; eight grandchildren, Thomas, Anthony, Joshua, Mariah, MaKayla, Matthew, Ava and Adalee; great-granddaughter, Zylee; four half-brothers and two half-sisters.

Julie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Ketchem.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Southern Care Hospice, 4624 S. Springhill Jct., Terre Haute, IN 47802, in memory of Julie.

The family is honoring Julie's wishes, so there will be no public services or viewing.
