June T. Bradfield, 89, of Lyons, formerly of Sandborn, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2011, at Greene County General Hospital. Born in Linton, Indiana, on June 7, 1921, she was the daughter of Edward Clarence and Luna Rebecca (Clark) Thomas. She married Harry Marlin Bradfield on September 19, 1939 and they had three children.

June was employed as the Post Master of Freelandville, Indiana for 10 years, retiring in 1985. She was also a member of the Sandborn United Methodist Church, Rebecca Lodge, Greene County Home Ec. Clubs and she graduated in 1938 from Linton High School.

Surviving family includes a son, Gary (Barbara) Bradfield; two daughters, Nelda Fish, Sheryl (James) Vingis, all of Lyons; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren and sixteen great-great-grandchildren.

June was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry Marlin Bradfield (February 26, 1981), one sister Edith Reintjes and one brother Otto Thomas.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Sandborn United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.

Friends may call at the Sandborn United Methodist Church from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, January 23, 2011, and from 10:00 AM until the hour of service on Monday. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM Monday, January 24, 2011, at the church with Tom Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Marco Cemetery in Marco, Indiana.

The family has entrusted the funeral arrangements with Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton, Indiana.
