D. Kathleen Hollingsworth Wright, 92, of Linton, Indiana, went to Heaven on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Glenburn Senior Living in Linton. She was born on July 3, 1933 in Linton to William H. and Minnie (Lloyd) Simmons. Kathleen married Jerry D. Hollingsworth on December 29, 1949, after his passing and later in life, she married Hubert Wright on March 17, 1985.
Kathleen was a member of the Linton Assembly of God Church where she served as Sunday School treasurer for 45 years. She loved the Lord with all her heart. Kathleen was a baker for Linton-Stockton Elementary School for 19 years. She was a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was dedicated to her family and prayed for them faithfully.
Family left to cherish the memory of Kathleen include: one daughter, Debbie Easter of Linton; two granddaughters, Christine (Shawn) Brown of Linton and Cheryl (Steve) Handley of Springfield, MO and great-granddaughter, Emma.
Kathleen was preceded in death by: her parents; 1st husband, Jerry Hollingsworth; 2nd husband, Hubert Wright; son-in-law, Jim Easter; great-grandson, Dawson Brown; four brothers, Jim, Lawrence, Junior and Albert Simmons; two sisters, Lorene Phipps and Billie House.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Kathleen will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Pastor Dick Smith and Pastor Chris Ferguson officiating. Kathleen will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, October 23 and from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Dawson Brown Scholarship. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Glenburn Senior Living who took such wonderful care of our mother and grandmother.
