Kenneth M. Medlock, 89, of Linton, Indiana, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Evansville, Indiana on Friday, June 19th, 2015. He was born in Linton on March 28th, 1926 to Irving and Ima Z. (Moody) Medlock. He married his sweetheart, A. Laverne Wright on March 1st, 1947.

Kenneth was a US Army World War II Veteran and was a recipient of the Purple Heart Award. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Linton and the Linton Civitan Club. Kenneth was employed in Food Sales, Mobile Home Sales and Automobile Sales before retiring in 1991.

Survivors include: one son, Steve Medlock of Evansville; daughter, Peggy Flath of Evansville; daughter-in-law, Carla Medlock of Linton; grandchildren, Melissa Dupree, Brandon (Samantha) Flath, D'Lee (Mickey Bland) Mayfield, Amber (Brian) McAtee and Kenton (Destiny) Medlock; great-grandchildren, Cameron and Addison Dupree, Chloie Mayfield, K'Lynn Medlock, Hayden, Haylea and Gabbi Flath, Grant and Kate McAtee; two brothers, Irving (Marie) Medlock, Jr. of Bradington, FL and Frank (Loretta) Medlock of Ellenton, FL; one sister, Bonnie (Maurice) Miller of Indianapolis, IN; special friend, Maureen Delaney and several nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife, A. Laverna Medlock; one son, Terry Medlock; two brothers, Vernon Beck and James Medlock and three sisters, Doris Fuhs, Opel Stutz and Betty Johnson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015 at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Bro. Nick Moore officiating. Kenneth will be laid to rest at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton following Military Graveside Services.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, June 22nd and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Tuesday, June 23rd.
