Larry Lee Anderson, 68, of Linton, IN, formerly of Lyons, passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Sullivan County Community Hospital. He was born on May 31, 1941, in Linton, IN, to Leslie and Sydney (Gwaltney) Anderson. On February 11, 1965, Larry married Marilyn Jones and they had 3 children.

Larry served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a millwright, retiring in 1987.

Survivors include his three daughters, Lori (Tim) Russell and Tammy (Tim) Goodman, both of Linton, and Robin (Shane) Haun of Brownsburg; nine grandchildren, Samantha, Joanna, Brickston and Stone Russell, Josh (Danielle) and Jordan (Lindsay) Goodman, Nikki, Jessica and Rachel Haun; one great-grandson, Cameron Goodman. Also surviving are one brother, Jerrel (Cathy) Anderson of Solsberry and one sister, Cleta (Roger) Shake of Linton.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Marilyn Anderson, on April 30, 1985.

The family has requested memorial contributions to be made to Kicking Bear Youth Program. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2009 with funeral services following at 11:00 AM with Rev. Larry Goodman officiating. Interment will take place at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton, IN, with Military Graveside Rites given by American Legion Post #22.
