Lenson L. Ledbetter, 74, of Linton, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on August 1, 1939 in St. Elmo, Illinois to Jesse W. and Josephine Wallace Ledbetter. Lenson took Sierra Sue Arnac to be his wife on September 7, 1958.

Lenson retired from the Linton Police Department and from the U.S. Post Office as a Rural Letter Carrier. He was a member of the FOP, BPO Elks 866 and Linton Masonic Lodge #560 F & AM. Lenson was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be greatly missed.

Survivors include: his wife, Sue; one son, Tony (Kim) Ledbetter; two daughters, Tana (Darren) McDonald and Tiffany (David) Wence, all of Linton and nine grandchildren, Charles (Mandi), Jesse (Heather) & Leah McDonald, Lydia Hazlewood, Sierra & Clover Hill, Jason Lundy and Adam & Joshua Wence; four great-grandchildren, Konnar, Karter, Jazlyn and Justice and one sister, Alice Woolverton of Hartford, IL.

Lenson was preceded in death by: his parents; half-brother and six sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton with Missionary Tony Ledbetter and Pastor Darren McDonald officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Family and friends may call at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, December 30 and on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the hour of service.
