Linda J. Kirk, 67, of Linton, passed away Friday, May 25th, 2007, at Indianapolis. Born in Linton, on July 1, 1939, she was the daughter of Carl and Mildred (Risher) Walton. In 1957, she married Ralph C. Kirk. She had served as the Activities Director at the Linton Nursing Home before retiring in 1990.

Survivors include her husband, Ralph Kirk, three daughters, Karen K. (Bill) Wilkes of Linton, Sharon F. (Rick) Engle of Sullivan and Jody L. (Nancy W.) Kirk of Docena, AL, one grandson Christopher M. Engle of Bethel, AK and two-step grandchildren and a special family friend, Cathy Hadley. Linda is also survived by two brothers, Thomas W. Walton of Indianapolis and Steven W. Walton of Linton, niece Katie Elliott and nephew Jason Walton. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, May 30, 2007 and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM, May 31st, 2007 with Rev. Michael Seaney officiating. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
