Linda Sue Word, 70, of Bloomfield, Indiana, passed away peacefully, at Greene County General Hospital on Saturday, April 13th, 2024. She was born on December 2nd, 1953, in Vincennes, Indiana, to Paul Allen and Wilma Jean (Tislow) Howell. Linda married Alvin Dwight Word on September 26, 1997.

Linda was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren. She truly enjoyed spending time outdoors where she could work in the garden and tend to her flowers, as well.

Family members who cherish Linda's memory include: her husband, Alvin Dwight Word; sons, Brad Buescher of Bicknell, Billy Brochin of Bloomfield, Levi (Kat) Word of Scotland, and Eric Word of Greenwood; 2 daughters, Mellisa Buescher of Bloomfield, and Angie (AJ) Steele of Indianapolis; 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Kathy Howell and Rose Wright.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Anderson-Poindexter Chapel in Linton with Bro. Dick Smith officiating. Linda will be laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Family and friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 18th at the funeral home.
