Lisa K. Parola, 45, of Linton, IN, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Richland County, IL, on June 16, 1963, to Marion and Carolyn (Tracy) Dorrough. On July 13, 1996, she married Steven M. Parola.

Lisa was a graduate of Oblong High School class of 1981, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She worked at Harmon's Health Mart for 12 years, Hershey's Chocolates for 7 years and most recently the Linton-Stockton Elementary Cafeteria. She was a member of the Oblong First Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Steven M. Parola of Linton; one son, Cameron Drew Parola at home; one step-daughter, Stephanie Marie Parola of Evansville; her mother, Carolyn (Jim) McElhiney of Robinson, IL; maternal grandmother, Vera Mae Tracy of Oblong, IL; Mother-in-Law, Connie Parola of Linton; two sisters, Rita (Kevin) Ferguson of Willow Hill, IL and Gina (Brett) Anderson of Oblong, IL; three sisters-in-law, Cindy Mullis, Sandy (Robert) Mejean and Crystal (Mike) Ely; nieces, MaKayla Shaffner, Kelley Parola, Lacy Mejean, Keisha Medley and Sydney Ely; nephews, Clayton Anderson, Matt Parola and Nick Mullis; and one great-nephew, Connor Wooley. She is also survived by several aunts and uncles.

Lisa was preceded in death by her father, Marion Dorrough, and her grandparents.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lisa to the Cameron Drew Parola College Fund at the Crane Federal Union. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home, as well.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 19th, 2009, at the Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel, with David "Dee" Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Friends may call from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Wednesday, February 18th, 2009, and from 9:00 AM Thursday, February 19th, 2009, until the hour of service.
