Lois Merle 'Fern' Percifield, 79, of Linton, IN, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008, at Terre Haute Regional Hospital. Born in Pleasantville, Indiana, on June 29, 1929, she was the daughter of McKendree & Chlorine (Mowery) Wilson. After the passing of her father, her mother later married Chester McCart. Fern married William Earl Percifield on June 12, 1961. She was a homemaker and a volunteer at Glenburn Home. She attended Full Gospel Church in Switz City.

Survivors include one brother, Perry Vernal Wilson of Washington and one foster sister, Wanda Eslinger of Linton. Also surviving are caregivers Elizabeth 'Libby' Dayhoff and the Four Rivers Staff.

Fern was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Earl.

The family has requested memorial contributions to be made to Four Rivers Community Living.

Friends may call at Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel in Linton from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 21, 2008 and from 9:00 AM until the hour of service on Friday, August 22, 2008. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 PM on Friday with Rev. Sam Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Stafford Cemetery in Sandborn, IN.
